Just a reminder that we will be on fall break from Wed., Oct. 12th-through Friday, Oct. 14th. We hope everyone enjoys their break!

Communication is an important part of today’s educational process. It takes great teamwork between the school and parents to ensure that students are getting the best educational experience possible. The Teacher Ease system provides great communication opportunities! Through the system, parents can monitor student grades, they can pay for student meals, and can be notified of various upcoming events and activities. If you have not looked at the Teacher Ease system, please do so! If you have any questions regarding how to use the system, let us know and we will get you set up! In conjunction with TeacherEase the school’s website and Facebook page are great ways to stay connected with the school. Be sure to check the Schools Web site from time to time and be sure to “Follow” us on FB!

We will soon be starting a 4-H program. The initial step is to have an informative parent meeting. The meeting will be on Tuesday, Nov. 1st at 5:30 PM in Room 106. We hope 4-H will provide additional educational opportunities for our students!

We will be hosting our annual 5th-6th grade basketball tournament the week of October 17-21. Please check the website and FB page for game times. Come out, enjoy great concession stand food, and cheer the Falcons on to victory!

October is anti-bullying month. Later in the month, we will have a special speaker talk to our students about the importance of respecting others. We will also have additional activities to help support the speaker. Friend Public School does not tolerate any bullying. Disciplinary consequences will be given to those who bully others.

Our PTO will be hosting the annual Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 28th from 5:30 Pm-7:00 PM. All Friend students are encouraged to come! Special “Thanks” to our wonderful PTO for organizing the event!
